README

smithtek-node-red-tanklevel

Installation Install using the NodeRED palette manager

Usage

The Tank node will calculate the volume of medium in a horizontal cylindrical tank. HC tanks are very common in agricultural, petro chemical and food industries. A common example is diesel storage tankers. The smithtek-node-red-tanklevel node requires a level value from a physical input, for example a PLC, RTU, DCS, BMS. Modbus, OPC UA,DA. The node will handle the calculations and output an accurate tank level.

Settings / Properties

All property values need to be entered in meters. If the tank is 3700mm then you would use 3.7m. The 3 properties are :

  • Tank Diameter
  • Tank Length
  • Radius

Input

The input pin expects a payload value number in either a float or integer.

Output

The output pin will output a payload object value as a float
